Lemony Snicket is the pseudonym for author Daniel Handler. Lemony Snicket is the narrator of the Series of Unfortunate Events, of which there are 13 books. A film was made of the series, starring Jim Carrey as Count Olaf.
The Library has all of the books in the series, apart from the ones that are missing!

The Reptile Room

This book was about three orphans who went to live with their giddy uncle.They were going to go to Peru , when something tragic happens.The orphans have already suffered alot with the loss of their parents and this is just making it worse.
I really enjoyed this book, I couldn't stop reading it.I paticularly like Sunny Baudilare(youngest) and Violet Baudilare(oldest) because I think they are really individual.
I think the book is for the whole family and everyone would enjoy it.The autor described the characters wonderfully you can really get a picture of what the characters are doing,when and where they are doing it.This book really lets your mind loose .
The Hostile Hospital

This book was abount three orphans called Violet, Klaus and Sunny. These children are getting chased by people that want to kill them because they thought they had killed someohne. Will they get caught?
I quite liked this book it is quite amusing. My favourite character was Sunny.
I think this book is suitable for people who like quite adventureous books.

This book is about three orphans that get into alot of trouble.They get stranded on an island with their enemy.The islanders locked their enemy,Count Olaf, in a bird cage.At first the orphans are happy being safe all of the time but then they get bored.Next a pregnant woman they know washes up on shore and everything goes wrong.The islanders want to leave her but the orphans want to help.So the islanders leave the orphans with the woman.Finally the islanders end up letting Count Olaf and he tries to kill them all.
My fav character is the oldest orphan,Violet, because she is always inventing things.
My fav part is when the orphans find the secret hide-out under the apple tree.
I think the book is really good because the orphans always get into all sorts of trouble and loads of unfortunate things happen to them.

I love them so much!
i started one book 1st and i couldent stop from there on!
i recomed this book to younger adults and up because some of the text is difficult.
If you have started dont stop because The End (book 13) shows the end and theres lots of suprises!
A series of unfortunate events - The ersatz elevator

This book is about the three Baudelaire orphans that are trying to escape the clutches of evil Count Olaf who is trying to get they're families fortune, and who has there best friends the Quagmires and is trying to steal they're fortune aswell.
They go and stay with the "squalors" Esme and Jerome.
When Count Olaf finds them !!!
Then they find where he is hiding they find a big surprise at the bottom of the elevator shaft!

This book was very interesting. It was about three orphans who went to stay with their Uncle Monty who was a specialist in reptiles so the 3 Baudilare ophans enjoyed staying there. There was a very large room called The Reptile Room. This room had all sorts of reptiles in it. The Baudilares and Uncle Monty were going to go to Peru when a masterios man called Stephano showed up and he was going to goto Peru with them and the Baudilares felt this was not right so they went to Uncle Monty and he ripped up Stephano's ticket butStephano wasn't really stephano he was Count Olaf and he would do anything to get the Baudilare fortune so he killed Uncle Monty and he tried to take them to Peru but Poe(thier driver) came just in time and he stopped him and they went back to find Uncle Monty dead in the Reptile Room and they tried to catch Count Olaf but he got away as usual

This book was very strange but brilliant. You felt like you had to read on and on. The book was about 3 orphans Klaus,Violet and Sunny they are named the Baudelaire children.
There mum and dad died in a tradgic accident during a fire in there house.So they had to go and live with there Dr Montgomery they loved him, They was going to Peru.BUT CountOlaf Dr Montgomerys friend was invited and came to the house. The first person the children had to go and live with was CountOlaf he was a horrible man,we wanted the children to die so he could get the fortune and money.Dr Montgomery didnt know we was a bad man.
BUT WHO DIES!!!! BEFORE THE TRIP BY A DELIBARATE SNAKE BITE. READ ON AND FIND OUT IT IS AN AMAZING BOOK.:):)
