Gillian Cross was born in London in 1945. She has won some prestigious awards (Carnegie, Whitbread, Smarties) and has written many books. Her most famous books are the Demon Headmaster series.
Other books held in the Library include: Calling a Dead Man, The Dark Ground, Nightmare Game, Pictures in the Dark, and Tightrope.
